TEDxCharlotte has been part of this city’s rhythm since 2010, amplifying ideas, elevating local voices, and creating space for conversations that matter. It has held space for our challenges, our creativity, and our potential. As Charlotte continues to grow, so does the need for truth-telling, courage, and community-driven insight.

Now under new leadership, TEDxCharlotte is back with a clear intention: to surface bold ideas and say the quiet parts out loud.

Meet the Organizer, Shereese Floyd

This isn’t my first TEDx. It’s my next.

I’m no stranger to the TEDx world. I gave a TEDxOcala talk titled “The Secret to Healing the World,” which won a Cicero Speechwriting Award in 2021. I’ve served as a speaker coach for TEDxCharlotte (2023), advised and coached at TEDxMyrtleBeach (2024), and organized TEDxMintStreet (2024–2025).

If you followed TEDxMintStreet, you already know the type of platform I build, one rooted in truth, depth, and voices that don’t flinch. TEDxMintStreet reflected Charlotte’s heart. That work doesn’t stop. It scales.

Now, TEDxCharlotte enters a new chapter. With it comes more reach, more room, and more responsibility to elevate ideas that matter.

This is a season for thinkers, builders, questioners, and truth-tellers.
