TEDxCharlotte needs more than speakers.
We need hands, hearts, and hustle behind the scenes.
Our Values
These values guide how we work, how we lead, and how we show up for each other and for Charlotte.
We think originally.
We’re here to challenge the norm, not copy it. That means bringing fresh ideas, bold creativity, and the courage to say what hasn’t been said.
We build together.
Collaboration is how we get things done. We support each other, share credit, and make room for every voice on the team.
We spark movement.
We don’t just want applause, we want ripple effects. Our work inspires people to shift how they think, act, and lead.
We focus on impact.
Everything we do should matter. Whether it affects one person or an entire room, it needs to move something forward.
Who We’re Looking For
TEDxCharlotte runs on people who care about ideas and believe in building something bigger than themselves. We’re looking for individuals who are dependable, curious, and willing to roll up their sleeves to help create a meaningful experience for our audience.
You don’t need TEDx experience, just a great attitude, clear communication, and the ability to adapt as the day unfolds.

We’re actively looking for:

How to Join the Volunteer Team
To be considered, you’ll go through a short virtual interview so we can learn more about your interests and availability. All selected volunteers must also attend a mandatory orientation session ahead of the event. This ensures everyone is aligned and ready for showtime.
Time Commitment
Time commitment depends on your role. Some positions require 10–15 hours per week, others may only require a few meetings a month, and some are event-day only. Regardless of role, all volunteers must be on site for the full event day to support execution from start to finish.
What You’ll Get Out of It
Volunteering with TEDxCharlotte is a chance to be part of something meaningful, meet thoughtful people, and see how an event like this comes together from the inside. You’ll walk away with real experience, new connections, and the satisfaction of helping make it all happen.
We’re happy to provide references and encourage you to add the experience to your resume, portfolio, or LinkedIn.
